Working Towards a Brighter Future

GFWC Logo.png

The GFWC Tampa Junior Woman's Club, TJWC, was founded in 1935 and is a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Honoring the motto of “Unity in Diversity,” we come together as unique individuals dedicated to community improvement by collaborating and by providing an environment to pursue projects of interest. Including volunteering, fundraising, and personal development, and socials.

Our mission is to enhance the lives of others in The Tampa Bay Area and Internationally through volunteer service.

In 2019 our club transformed into a virtual club to meet the demands of working women with busy lives. With no minimum requirements and low annual dues of $35 per year we coordinate our efforts virtually using Meetup and Social Media. You can participate as little or as much as you can.

A small contribution by many can have a big effect on our community.

Making A Difference

GFWC Tampa Junior Woman's Club is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Women Empowerment Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a forum to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for individuals and communities.

About GFWC

The General Federation of Woman’s Clubs, is one of the world’s largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational, women’s volunteer service organizations that was founded in 1890 and chartered by the 56th United States Congress in 1901.

Headquartered in a National Historic Landmark building in Washington, D.C., GFWC has a long history of philanthropy, social and political advocacy, and community leadership.

More than 100,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state and more than a dozen countries work in their own communities to support the arts, preserve natural resources, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage civic involvement, and work toward world peace and understanding.

In 2019, General Federation of Women’s Clubs members volunteered more than seven million hours, improving the lives of countless others in 3,500 communities nationwide. Living its mission of community improvement through volunteer service, GFWC’s 100,000 members completed 116,204 projects and donated nearly $39 million.

By becoming a member you are indoctrinated into this amazing international organization with all its privileges.
